St-Patrick's Day - Sensory activities

As St-Patrick's Day is fast approaching, I wanted to share some of my Irish roots with my little peanut. She is now almost 8 months and needing some stimulation on a daily. We decided to engage in some fun St-Patrick's Day art and sensory play!

To start off, I made a sensory bin, where Madison can engage in some tactile play and explore different textures. This idea was based on the sensory bin that my friend created for her little dude; @brigitte.esther & Toby's creations.

Here's what I put in my bin;

- Easter grass (Dollarama)

- 2 wooden balls (wood & green colour from LOVEVERY)

- A felt green ball (LOVEVERY)

- A green ball from Madison's ball pit

- Assorted pompoms: Green & White (Dollarama)

- Some pipe cleaners: Green & White (Dollarama)

- A shamrock scarf (Dollarama)

- A shamrock necklace (Dollarama)

*** Make sure to keep a close eye on your little during this activity, because if they are as quick as my kid, they put everything in their mouth and a lot of these items are choking hazards.

If you can tell, I apparently spend a lot of time at Dollarama! LOL

Here is the end result. Madison absolutely loved this activity. So fun to see them thrive. If you want to see the original post, check out my friends instagram @Brigitte.esther.

The second activity that we did together was some "Smoosh art".

I previously did this activity for Valentine's Day, and Madison loved it, so I decided to do it again with green tones. You can see the steps to proceed with this activity in my Valentine's Day post.

Once the paint was dry, I used a shamrock stencil that I found online, then traced and cut out the art. I made 3 shamrocks and put it in a white picture frame to be used during my little St-Patrick's Day photoshoot.

There you have it, here is the final product!

Bye for now!

XO M&M
